11:28 p.m. - Thurs., July 15, 2004 We walked all over the Niagara Falls area and I took some cool photos then we went to the casinos and played a bit, didnt waste much money there. We just enjoyed being alone together; we also enjoyed seeing fireworks on Sunday night. Monday we went out to the butterfly conservatory and then drove by the floral clock on our way out to Niagara on the Lake. This is a cool little town full of quaint shops and a couple free museums that we visited. It was all abloom with lots of beautiful gardens and potted flowers. I took a bunch of photos of that too. I guess since I am tired I should just post these photos and move on. This is the American Falls minus the Bridal Veil Falls. This is the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. These two are of the Niagara on the Lake. See those horse drawn carriages? They cost $80 for 20 minutes. Too rich for us but they were pretty, and they didnt seem too overly busy. This last one is of us taken at the fountains in front of the new casino. The guy that took it did a great job I thought. I hope the one I took for him turned out as nice. We also drove out and visited the place we stayed 17 yrs ago on our honeymoon. It was really rather cool, they got a new sign but it still looked the same. A lot has changed even in the last 7 yrs. since we visited last. There are skyscraper hotels now and the little back street leading down to the falls that used to be rather dirty and dimly lit is now a boulevard with flowers in the middle and beautiful sidewalks with stone walls. It was a wonderful time.
